Machine Maintenance Technician

Department: Machine Maintenance & Technical Services
Reporting to: Machine Maintenance Manager

The Machine Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for the diagnosis and repair of our CNC Lathes and Milling machines. The Technicians ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems to the failing component, and understand complex controls with their related problems is crucial to day-to-day operations.

Areas of Responsibility

• Maintains, diagnoses and repairs of machinery.
• Troubleshoots electrical and mechanical problems to the failing component.
• Understands complex controls.
• Supports the company mission statement.
• Complies with established safety practices and is proactive in communicating potential safety hazards to the Safety Committee.
• Performs other related duties as necessary.

Job Qualifications

Skills, Experience, & Education

• GCSE Maths and English.
• HNC in electronics, machining or related subjects. Related experience accepted.
• Ability to evaluate and repair machinery.
• Electrical and Mechanical knowledge with proven troubleshooting capabilities.

Personal Qualities

• A self starter and team player.
• Able to work independently.
• Willing to seek out additional work when time is available.
